The "19 Kids and Counting" family have been under fire since early this year following the revelation of the inappropriate activities that pushed Josh Duggar in the middle of the controversy. Mere months following the issue that had Josh Duggar's sisters, Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald, in tears on national television and the family patriarch and matriarch, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, defending their parenting decisions, the "19 Kids and Counting" clan find themselves once again embroiled in a sensitive issue that has fans and followers of the show shocked.
As both "19 Kids and Counting" stars Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna Duggar, attempt to rebuild their broken family life, Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald are busy fending off the critics who continue to slam their brother. Even Jim Bob Duggar and wife Michelle Duggar contributed to lending support to the first child of the "19 Kids and Counting" family, Josh Duggar, and his brood during such difficult time in their lives.
Adding to the list of supporters hoping that the "19 Kids and Counting" family get through this mess is "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson. During the promotional press conference that featured the "Duck Dynasty" star, Sadie Robertson revealed that she and her family are truly saddened by the issue involving Josh Duggar and the entire "19 Kids and Counting" clan.
"It honestly makes me really sad that they're having to go through this," shared the "Duck Dynasty" star, according to PEOPLE Magazine. Sadie Robertson went on to say, "Because it's one thing to go through it as a family, and it would be just as hard for them if they weren't in the limelight, but everybody's talking about it, and that just adds that many more comments, that many more opinions." The "Duck Dynasty" star then shared that her own family have been through the same media scrutiny now experienced by the "19 Kids and Counting" clan. She said, "We've been there, it's hard."
The "Duck Dynasty" star then went on to share that the entire "19 Kids and Counting" clan should not be judged or persecuted simply because of Josh Duggar and his shortcomings. She added that Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar should not be blamed for the issue that has the rest of the world crying out for Anna Duggar's escape from Josh Duggar's life. The "Duck Dynasty" star also reminded the public that the consequences of the issue should be borne by Josh Duggar alone, pointing out that slamming Jill Duggar Dillard, Jessa Duggar Seewald and the rest of the Duggar siblings is grossly unfair for the "19 Kids and Counting" family members.
"They almost canceled Duck Dynasty whenever my grandpa said the things that he said, and that would have been, in my opinion, not a very good decision, because that was putting one man's words in all of our mouths," explained Sadie Robertson, referring to the homophobic comments that had the "Duck Dynasty" off the air for a certain period. The "Duck Dynasty" star then related her family's experience to that of the "19 Kids and Counting" backlash and said, "Josh Duggar, that's not his whole family. His whole family didn't do that. He made a mistake."
She added, "At this point it is what it is, and so they're just going to have to make the best out of it. If they can forgive him, it will all work out."
