More than five months following the discovery of an unconscious Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia home, the daughter of legendary singer Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown has finally succumbed to the damage caused by her alleged accident. In a statement released by the family of Bobbi Kristina, it was disclosed that the only daughter of the two most influential artists passed away in a hospice center in Atlant. She was 22.
"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family," revealed a statement from the family, according to E News. The statement further read, "She is finally at peace in the arms of God." The family also expressed their gratitude towards the support and love they received during the entire ordeal. They shared, "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
Initially, Bobbi Kristina was confined at the Neurology Intensive Care Unit of Emory University Hospital. However, months passed by without any positive change on her condition. According to ABC News, the family of Whitney Houston then opted to transfer Bobbi Kristina in a rehab center by March. Due to her worsening state and the apparent hopelessness of her condition, Pat Houston, the aunt of Bobbi Kristina, announced in June that Whitney Houston's daughter will be moved to a long-term hospice facility.
"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," Pat Houston said at that time, according to PEOPLE Magazine. She added, "She has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."
The PEOPLE Magazine report also revealed that Bobbi Kristina "has been losing weight, she's been losing hair," according to a source. While the family has been taking very good care of her, it was apparent then that the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown had a minimal chance of hurdling the comatose state she was in.
Hours following the announcement of the accident of Bobbi Kristina in January, her father, Bobby Brown, released an official statement as well. While the former husband of the late Whitney Houston acknowledged the overwhelming support of fans and followers of his family, Bobby Brown sought the understanding of the public with respect to his request for privacy at that point in time. Bobbi Kristina's dad stated, "Privacy is requested in this matter." He went on to say, "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
