While Duggar sisters, Jill and Jessa, have landed a three-part special on TLC that will draw attention to their life after marriage, their older sister, Jana, remains unmarried without children at 25 years old.
Known for her full-fledged support in raising and caring for her younger siblings, Jana has also been helping out Jill and Jessa after her two sisters each welcomed a child of their own.
A photo of Jana playfully tangled arm to arm with her younger brother James was shared on the official Duggar family Facebook page. Subsequently, after the post surfaced, many fans of the now off-air "19 Kids and Counting' have taken to social media and shared their sentiments about how Jana is being involved in too many parental responsibilities in the house. They are also urging the eldest Duggar daughter to spend more time outside of the house and go to college.
Not a single Duggar daughter has attended college and all of Jim Bob and Michelle's children have been homeschooled under the Advanced Training Institute (ATI) program developed by Bill Gothard.
Based on the online posts, it seems that fans would want to see Jana move away from this approach, which includes minimal education and a long-term babysitting responsibility, and focus more on self-improvement and empowerment.
"Such a pretty girl," one commenter wrote. "College would look great on her."
Other fans also believe that it is the right time for Jana to finally settle down.
"Past time for her to marry," a fan wrote while another one stated: "Jana is beautiful [and] so ready for her to move out and find a man and get married."
Aside from Jill and Jessa's kids, Josh Duggar has also seemingly asked Jana to help out his wife, Anna, when it comes to caring for the four kids- (4 months), Marcus (2 years), Michael (4 years) and Mackynzie (6 years).
Jana can be seen as Meredith's babysitter in a video that Jessa shared on Instagram. In the clip, Jana tries to sing as she cradles Josh and Anna's youngest child.
When it comes to romantic relationships, Jim Bob previously shared why her eldest daughter has not yet decided to settle down with a particular suitor.
"Jana is one of the prettiest girls in the world and one of the sweetest girls," Jim Bob said in an interview with People Magazine. "There have been a lot of guys who have been interested in her, I have gone to hear about each one, and so far she hasn't felt that is the way the Lord is leading."
