Jessa Duggar-Seewald and husband Ben celebrated their first wedding anniversary and the passing of their baby's due date by snacking on fries and ice cream. The 22-year-old reality star took some time from their celebrations on Sunday to pay a tribute to her spouse and come up with an emotional throwback of their wedding day.
Aside from photos, the mother-to-be also shared a never-before-seen footage of themselves exchanging wedding vows one year ago.
"Reminiscing and reaffirming these promises to you today, Darling!" Duggar wrote as caption for a photograph of Seewald decked out in his wedding suit, while adding the words of her vows: "Benjamin, today I take you to be my husband, my faithful partner, and my one true Love. Loving you now, and as you grow and develop into all that God intends."
Although their day began in a thoughtful and reflective manner, the young couple made time to loosen up later in the day, choosing fast food for their anniversary meal. Sharing a photo of their indulgent moment, Jessa wrote, "Sometimes, you forget about eating healthy and go for the good stuff. Happy anniversary, Love! @ben_seewald."
Although the Christian couple has already learned the gender of their baby, they have yet to announce details to their fans.
Rumors of the former '19 Kids and Counting' star going into labor had been recently addressed when Jessa shared a photo of her and Ben as she held her large baby bump. She also shared images a maternity photo shoot posted to her website.
"A sweet friend came to town and took these pictures for us," the Seewald couple wrote. "It was so much fun and soon we get to meet this sweet new Seewald!"
Moreover, Jessa and Ben threw a special baby shower with her family and closest friends, with which the event, a fall-themed party in Highfill, Arkansas, marked the approaching arrival of their little bundle of joy.
"Definitely with all the difficulties that my family has walked through, there's still a lot of exciting milestones ahead. Ben and I are very excited to welcome our first little one into the world very soon," Jessa shared in one of the couple's online posts.
Meanwhile, fans of the couple and of the Duggar family have been thrilled over the upcoming premiere of their TV special on TLC that will be centered on Jessa and her sister, Jill Duggar-Dillard.
Nancy Daniels, TLC's executive vice president and general manager, explained how the new series will draw attention to Jessa's preparations for her first baby's arrival along with Jill's missionary trip to Central America with husband Derick and son, Israel.
"We are grateful that the new TLC specials set to air this fall will be sharing special moments with Jill, Derick and Israel on the foreign mission field and following Ben and Jessa as they prepare for the arrival of their first baby!" the Duggar family wrote on their official Facebook page.
"Jill & Jessa: Counting On' is set to make its premiere on TLC this December.
