Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, might be moving to Retalhuleu, Guatemala, according to a recent post on an online expat forum. This remains to be a speculation, though, as the Christian couple has not been entirely straightforward about their intentions, including the use of the funds donated to their nonprofit, Dillard Family Ministries.
The possibility that baby Israel's parents could be headed to Retalhuleu can be drawn out from several things, as pointed out by The Inquisitr.
The couple paid a visit to Guatemala twice this summer- the first one being a part of their tour of three Central American countries and the second one spending their time in Guatemala alone. The latter was also reportedly a trip to study the Spanish language for two weeks. However, such visit posed a big question due to the fact that the couple's other destinations also offer language classes for tourists.
Another reason why the pair could be moving to Guatemala is its higher level of security and less criminal gang activity. Another missionary couple was recently reported to have had their baby kidnapped due to a baby-trafficking scheme.
Finally, Jill has been rumored to have posted in a forum for expats residing in Guatemala. In one specific post, the individual is identified as a female and is said to have lived in Springdale, Arkansas, where the Duggar children have lived their entire life. Interestingly, the individual behind the post has scheduled a big move to Guatemala last August; coincidentally, Jill, Derick and baby Israel had been present in the country on August 16 for a two-week trip.
While there have been no confirmed reports of such Guatemala move, fans can still look forward to Jill's family being featured on upcoming TV specials as TLC confirmed that the network has new projects that will revolve around the 24-year-old reality star and her sister, Jessa Duggar-Seewald.
These TV projects will follow the sister's stories as Jill spends her time with mission work in Central America while Jessa preps up for the birth of her first child.
"We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone with the new specials on TLC"”many have asked about our mission work and about the challenges of taking our family to a different country, culture and learning a new language," Derick shared on Instagram. "We appreciate your prayers."
TLC's executive vice president and general manager Nancy Daniels also shared about the main emphasis of such programs.
"What we will be following in these specials is Jessa preparing for her first child," she said in an official statement. "And we'll be watching Jill preparing to make a major move to Central America with her family, which we know is something our audience will be interested in."
