A brand new trailer for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' has just been unveiled.
The official synopsis for the final installment in the "The Hunger Games' film series states how the nation of Panem will be involved in a full-blown war, and that Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) will finally confront President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in their last faceoff.
"Teamed with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) - Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her," the plot synopsis explains.
Moreover, "Mockingjay- Part 2', which will hit theaters this November, will finally determine the love triangle between Katniss and the two men in her life- Peeta and Gale.
"What I like about these movies is that they take the entire world, and they condense it into this one continent, and they take all of these issues and one girl, who took it in her hands," Lawrence explained.
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, franchise stars Lawrence, Hutcherson and Hemsworth opened up about how filming the last movie of the franchise had been highly emotional for all.
"The changes that happened in my life from doing these movies are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye, it'll always be a part of me," Lawrence said.
'The Hunger Games' franchise, which has already raked in a total of over $2 billion at the global box office since its first installment made its debut in 2012, significantly bolstered the Oscar-winning actress' career to become one of Hollywood's most singled-out stars of the younger generation.
Meanwhile, Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson, Natalie Dormer and Elizabeth Banks are all returning to reprise their roles from past movies in the popular young adult film series, together with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final onscreen role.
Francis Lawrence, who directed the second and third "Hunger Games' films, also returns to helm the final installment. The screenplay had been penned by Danny Strong and Peter Craig; both had also written last year's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 1.'
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' makes its way to theaters on Nov. 20.
