Less than a month after Jennifer Garner's split from husband Ben Affleck graced the headlines, the actress headed to filming for her latest project titled "Miracles From Heaven' in Atlanta.
The Christian drama film's trailer was recently released this week and Garner is shown portraying a mother of a little girl who goes through a near-death experience and is eventually cured of a digestive disorder that made it difficult for her to eat without feeding tubes.
The upcoming movie is an adaptation of the book titled "Three Miracles From Heaven: A Sick Little Girl, Her Journey to Heaven, and the Lives Forever Changed' written by Christy Beam which was released earlier this year in April.
The book follows a story of faith and blessings as Beam's memoir sheds light on the experiences of her daughter who astonishingly survived a life-threatening digestive disorder.
After being rescued from an almost-fatal accident, her daughter's visit to Heaven together with the mysterious disappearance of the symptoms of her hopeless disease turn into a series of miracles that leave their family, doctors and community members astounded.
"Miracles from Heaven' has brought together the same producers who worked on "Heaven Is for Real'; these include T.D. Jakes, Joe Roth and DeVon Franklin, the former Sony executive and Seventh-Day Adventist minister who currently works as producer for the Culver City lot.
In 2014, Franklin shared his sentiments about setting up Franklin Entertainment production company and working with Sony to bring on positive change in the lives of others one project at a time.
"It's about finding great content with mass appeal that still has an uplifting quality about it," Franklin told Millennial Magazine. "I want people's hearts to be touched, their lives to be touched, and I want the evidence of that to show up at the box office."
Meanwhile, "Miracles From Heaven' also stars Queen Latifah, Martin Henderson, Kylie Rogers and two former "The Walking Dead' actors"”Brighton Sharbinoand John Carroll Lynch.
"Miracles From Heaven' makes is way to cinemas on Mar. 18, 2016.
Garner's next appearance will be in the new comedy film "Nine Lives,' which started filming a week before the announcement of her and Affleck's divorce. The film is set for an official release on Apr. 29, 2016.
