After six months of anticipation, "Star Wars' fans are finally getting a detailed look into "The Force Awakens' as the first full trailer is unveiled this Monday on ESPN during Monday Night Football.
Following the release of the trailer during the game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia, advance tickets will also be made available for the film.
Aside from the highly-anticipated trailer, Lucasfilm has also unveiled the official "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' poster on Sunday, which will replace the title logo that has been used in most cinemas.
The typical elements in a "Star Wars film, including space battles, have all been incorporated into the new poster. Meanwhile, its characters and the different sizes they appear in could suggest their relevance in the movie itself.
Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) along with a small C-3PO, R2D2 and the latest droid BB-8 can all be seen in the poster.
Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) seems to be not included in the poster, unless he is hidden or disguised as one of the troopers as what happened during his rescue mission for Princess Leia in "A New Hope.'
New characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) are well displayed on the poster, which suggests that they might have a bigger role than the original trio of Han, Luke and Leia. The mysteriously cloaked villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is highlighted as well. Also located in the lower portion of the poster are Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).
As stated in a leaked synopsis, Kylo Ren will be the main villain in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' as he threatens the peace in space. The ruthless prince frantically searches for the lightsaber, which falls out of Jakku where Rey (Daisy Ridley) works as a space scavenger.
Such powers will be challenged both by Rey and Finn, who will get his hands on the lightsaber that is rumored to belong to Luke. This will eventually result to an epic journey to look for the Jedi Master who has been living in self-imposed exile.
As reports have been claiming, only Luke Skywalker, the galaxy's greatest warrior, can triumph over the dark warrior Kylo Ren.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to theaters on Dec. 16, 2015.
