Less than two months before the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' the film's official poster has already revealed the protagonists and the villains who will come out in the anticipated movie, such as Han Solo, Luke and Leia, Chewbacca, and the droids, among others. However, a new speculation claims one more classic character is showing up to make an impressive surprise.
According to Star Wars News Net, one of their sources are claiming that a certain Jedi master will make an appearance in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens.' In particular, Yoda is set to have a special scene in the J.J. Abrams-helmed space adventure. The website's source, who is said to be a non-U.S. resident, is involved in the said movie's audio dubbing.
Regardless of the level of truth behind such claim, Cinema Blend has listed the possible reasons as to why such scenario might make it to "Episode VII.' Although the well-loved Yoda met his demise in "Return of the Jedi,' he also makes an appearance later on in the movie as a Force Ghost alongside Obi-Wan and Anakin.
Looking at the latest "The Force Awakens' trailer, the Force and the Jedi may have already been forgotten, their importance being reduced into a less relevant portion of history. Nonetheless, Luke Skywalker is set to show up during some time and it is possible that Yoda might make an appearance once more to offer wise advice.
If the rumor on Yoda's return is true, this could bring about game-changing circumstances on "The Force Awakens.'
Although Luke's role remains uncertain as there are speculations that he has turned evil, it is known that Mark Hamill's character has become greatly powerful despite a shortened training period. It could be possible that, over the past three decades, he and Yoda have been in contact with each other and may have even carried on with his education following the ways of the Force.
All in all, Lucasfilm's release of the official "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' poster have brought on a wide range of speculations about the characters' level of relevance this time.
New characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) are highlighted on the poster, which suggests that they could be taking on a more significant role than the original trio of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Luke (Hamill) and Leia (Carrie Fisher), who are still easily noticeable. The mysteriously cloaked dark prince Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) takes the spotlight as well.
Also included in the poster's lower portion are Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to theaters on Dec. 16, 2015.
