As the season 11 premiere of 'Supernatural' made it plain and obvious that Dean has a distinctive bond with the darkness, it has also gotten fans worried over Sam who had been infected by a creature that resembles a zombie. Only a few hours is left before the younger Winchester sibling becomes a vicious zombie himself and eventually meets his demise.
In episode two titled "Form and Void,' Dean offers help to the police officer he met in the previous episode so she (Jenna) can go home safely. He then turns his attention to helping Sam sort things out as the town becomes filled with infected people.
Unfortunately, Jenna is immediately put in danger and asks for Dean's help as soon as possible, SpoilersGuide stated.
As Sam learned that Jenna is in trouble, he urges Dean to go back and help her. Dean is, however, unaware of the huge possibility that his brother could die at any hour now.
Sam is left to address the problems of the populated town that has been shrouded with a mysterious and toxic gas that was let loose with the darkness. Aside from being infected and having to deal with his survival, Sam must also deal with these ferocious monsters all on his own.
According to the episode's synopsis, Sam will be powerless against the horde of zombies; this has posed a big question as to how the well-loved character will be saved from the infection himself.
The teaser below shows Crowley telling Dean that, "Whatever's in that house [the one with the baby] I can taste the power." Fans can also have a brief look at a bleeding Sam and a grief-stricken Castiel in the clip.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Jeremy Carver explained that the second episode of "Supernatural' season 11 will reveal the outcomes of Dean killing death.
"We're going to start to see that [Dean killing death] addressed as early as episode two," Carver shared. "We'll start to see the ramifications of that. There are those who are affected by the death of Death who, under no uncertain terms, lay down exactly how they feel about it. There will be some major consequences of that."
Misha Collins also shared certain details about his own character and said that Castiel will keep on fighting to overcome the attack dog spell that Rowena cast on him since the last season.
"You'll see Cas struggling with it [the spell]. It's not something that has completely consumed him, he's fighting against it and essentially fading in and out of consciousness," Collins said. "But it's going to continue to be something he's fighting and struggling with for a very long time."
"Supernatural' season 11 returns this Wednesday, Oct 14 on the CW. The promo for episode two can be viewed below.
