As "Supernatural' is known for making paranormal beings as relatable as possible in a human point of view, its upcoming season is set to introduce another out-of-this-world being that will surely give fans a surprise.
The Almighty God is expected to make an appearance in the show's new episodes and Chuck (Rob Benedict) is rumored to play Him in "Supernatural' season 11.
The Darkness will also put itself forward in the new installment, and viewers might get the chance to watch God "shoot the breeze" with the Winchester brothers.
Known as a pre-Biblical being that God tangled with in the past, the Darkness will come back and wreak havoc, thus the need for the siblings to receive aid from the big man upstairs to defeat the most powerful villain that they have ever faced.
Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam, opened up about the rise of the Darkness in "Supernatural' season 11 and the reason behind the Lord Almighty's appearance.
"I think [the Darkness] certainly opens the door for Lucifer and/or God to pop up," he said then added, "We're certainly going back to that and going a bit more biblical and having our take on the writings that didn't make it into the Bible."
Previously, Misha Collins who takes on the role of Angel Castiel, shared how his character and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will set aside their differences and stand together to battle it out with the pre-biblical threat.
"We are going to see them put their differences aside and unite against that common enemy," he said. "I think that they are aware that the presence of The Darkness is actually their fault and they have to clean up the mess that they have made."
He also stated, "This season is going to be about reuniting us against a big bad, which is something we have done before, but it is changing it up. It's giving us a new focus and I think that is going to be great."
Moreover, Sam and Dean could turn to Metatron, but even his knowledge and experience may not be enough for God.
Padelecki quipped, "Since we know God's a scribe, we may have to invite him along for the ride."
In the "Supernatural' season 10 finale, Sam, Dean, Castiel and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) were all left in a dreadful situation. The Winchester brothers are surrounded by darkness, and the angel struggles to overcome Rowena's guard dog spell which forces him to kill the King of Hell, in the episode titled My Brother's Keeper.
"Supernatural' season 11 is set to premiere on Oct. 7 on The CW.
