"Teen Wolf' will not be ending soon, but showrunner Jeff Davis admitted in a recent interview that he and the hit MTV series' lead star, Tyler Posey, have already discussed how they would prefer to put an end to the show.

"I've had these conversations with Tyler Posey [about the show's ending]. And we always think we kind of like the idea of having the series finale be kind of a 'the adventure continues ...'" Davis revealed in an interview with Forbes magazine shortly after the TV program's New York Comic Con panel.

"I don't really want to do the ending that blows up everything and half the cast dies," Davis added. "I don't know if that's right for this kind of show."

Davis initially believed that "Teen Wolf' was set to end after its fifth season; however, the network renewed the series for installment comprised of 20 episodes.

When asked whether the series will finally have its final scenes in season six, the executive producer could not give a definite answer.

If MTV orders a seventh season, Davis said he would prefer if someone else would take over the series, hoping that there will be more stories to follow.

"[To] see maybe Dylan Sprayberry take over the role of the Teen Wolf and see Tyler Posey move into more of a Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) role ... that would be the 'Degrassi High' version," he shared.

Meanwhile, Davis has also acknowledged the possibility of actor Dylan O'Brien exiting the MTV series in the future due to the 24-year-old actor's budding career in the film industry.

In the same interview with Forbes magazine, the screenwriter said that he is allowing the likelihood of saying goodbye to O'Brien "at some point."

"Cast shakeups happen more and more with every show these days. So, you never know," Davis explained. "The networks used to sign people up for seven seasons. The idea was, you can't lose anyone. Nowadays, it's who can you kill off next? It's very different."

As "Teen Wolf' season 5B premieres next year, fans can look forward to Scott's pack as they set out to fulfill their mission of rescuing Lydia from the Eichen House.
Davis made it clear that the pack's success in freeing the banshee will be greatly influenced by Stiles' attempts.

The pack is also expected to team up with Theo and make peace with him in order to fight against a common enemy known as The Beast.

"Your pack and mine, we're going to be fighting for our lives," Theo tells Scott in the trailer.

MTV's "Teen Wolf' Season 5B is set to premiere on Jan. 5, 2016 and will now air every Tuesday at 9 p.m.
