Last week, "The Walking Dead' season six premiere brought on a great deal of panic and confusion after a blaring alarm broke off and disrupted Ric's (Andrew Lincoln) plans to bring the huge horde of zombies away from Alexandria.
This week, on the second episode titled "JSS,' viewers were able to learn that the horn signaled the unforgettable, brutal arrival of a group of terrorizing maniacs with W's visibly splashed onto their foreheads. This answers the main question of who would come out alive from the unavoidable breach of the gated community by frightening human invaders.
With many of its capable members fighting off the walkers down the road, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) was shown giving Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) a stirring talk about having to get back to their daily routines.
As for Carol (Melissa McBride), she had still been pretending to be a harmless homemaker in Alexandria as she placed a kitchen casserole in the oven, peered out of the window and watched a stranger cut her neighbor down with a large axe.
With the community being invaded by the Wolves, Carol knows that she has to step and make her way through anyone who puts a stop to her, including Morgan (Lennie James). While she impressively disguised herself as a member of the Wolves to kill off the invaders, Morgan just had to tell her off.
"You don't have to kill people," he said.
"Of course we do," Carol crossly responded.
Describing what is to come in "The Walking Dead' season six, co-star Danai Gurira described the latest installment as an "amazing" one.
"It's very rich and deep and full of everything you can imagine," Gurira, who plays Michonne in the hit zombie drama, said in an interview with People.
With discord becoming more evident among the series' main group of survivors and the other residents of Alexandria, the actress explained how it has been exciting for the cast to see how such drama will be played out in season six.
"We are working really, really hard and the scripts are riveting and gut-wrenching," the actress said. "It's powerful storytelling that we get to work on every day. It's powerful stuff that's coming out of the writer's room."
"The Walking Dead' season six airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
