Just when people thought it would be hard to beat Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk, " Fast and Furious 7's Wiz Khalifa came up with a Paul Walker tribute that would top charts across the globe.

Khalifa's "See You Again" has topped not only the US charts, but UK's as well. It has dominated UK charts for two weeks on Sunday, breaking the country's all-time record for music streaming. The single also topped the Billboard Top 100 for two consecutive weeks, snagging the first place from Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk," which dominated the chart for 14 weeks.

"See You Again" is a tribute to Paul Walker who starred along Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, and Wiz Khalifa in the blockbuster movie franchise Fast and Furious. Walker died in an unfortunate car accident in November 2013, while still filming the seventh installment for the movie franchise.

The song pulled the heartstrings of many when it was played towards the end of the movie. It showed Diesel and Walker driving in the sunset in their racecars, depicting the best friends' last ride together.

When asked about his inspiration in writing the song, Khalifa said, "I basically thought about what the movie stands for as far as family and the brotherhood, and of course, using the metaphor of the last ride and the last race because of that last scene."

Khalifa's "See You Again" has also inspired some covers on YouTube, including one from Britain's Got Talent star Connie Talbot, which gained 401,095 views as of this writing.
