The official premiere of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has attracted numerous big-budget movies to release their trailers in line with the highly anticipated film to ensure a considerable number of viewers. As such, the "X-Men: Apocalypse' trailer has now been set for a debut when "Episode VII' is released in December.
According to Collider, 20th Century Fox is planning on launching the movie's first full trailer of the Bryan-Singer helmed film during the premiere of "The Force Awakens.'
"I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens.' It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it," writer/producer Simon Kinberg told the website.
"X-Men: Apocalypse' will be the sequel to "Days Of Future Past' and is expected to begin at least a decade after the events of the previous film. In the upcoming movie, Charles (James McAvoy) and Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) are set to lead a team of good mutants to battle it out with Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), who awakens after centuries of settling down.
Finding the status of mutants pitiful and miserable in the human world, the movie's main villain will create his own army that includes Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Angel (Ben Hardy), and Psylocke (Olivia Munn).
In an interview with Yahoo!, Singer discusses what fans can look forward to in the upcoming installment, sharing that "some images and treatments of X-Men powers you've never seen before and some action and some pretty epic scope and some pretty major stakes, like global stakes."
"X-Men: Apocalypse' will also see the return of Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Lucas Till as Havok.
Aside from Shipp, Hardy and Munn, newcomers in the upcoming sequel include Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Lana Condor as Jubilee.
Singer expressed his excitement about bringing back fan-favorite characters, such as Jean, Scott, Storm and Nightcrawler, through their younger versions.
"They are at times in their lives when they are at the most opposite of what they would become," he explained. "That's a thrill to me, to take characters I crafted so many years ago and flip them completely on their side and show how they evolved and began."
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to cinemas Dec. 18 while "X-Men: Apocalypse' is slated for release on May 27, 2016.
